New Issue: GS Finance prices $1.08 million 6.25% autocallable fixed-coupon notes on S&P, Russell

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, July 26 – GS Finance Corp. priced $1.08 million 6.25% autocallable fixed-coupon notes due July 25, 2019 linked to the lesser performing of the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Interest is payable monthly.

The notes will be automatically called at par plus the coupon if each index closes at or above its initial level on April 22, 2019.

If the notes are not subject to an automatic call, the payout at maturity will be par unless either index has closed below the 70% trigger level during the life of the notes and either index finishes below its initial level. In that case, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the lesser-performing index from its initial level.
