New Issue: HSBC sells $5 million buffered AMPS linked to Russell, S&P

Columbus, Ohio, April 6 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $5 million of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Feb. 15, 2023 linked to the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the lesser performing index falls by up to 13%, the payout at maturity will be par plus 13% plus 1.52 times the return of the lesser performing index, up to a maximum return of 60.8%.

Investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 13%.

The initial level of each index will equal the arithmetic average of its closing levels on the weekly anniversaries of the pricing date during a three-month period beginning on the pricing date.
