Barclays to price 4.2% buffered notes linked to Russell 2000

Morgantown, W.Va., Feb. 22 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 4.2% buffered notes due Feb. 28, 2023 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest is payable quarterly.

If the index return is at least negative 15%, the payout at maturity will be par.

If the index falls by more than 15%, investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond the buffer.

Barclays is the agent.

The notes will price on Feb. 23.

The Cusip number is 06744CVQ1.
