Morgan Stanley to price 2.5-year buffered PLUS linked to Russell 2000

Morgantown, W.Va., Feb. 20 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Sept. 2, 2020 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

If the index finishes at or above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par of $1,000 plus 2 times the gain, capped at $1,265 to $1,275 per PLUS.

If the index falls by up to 10%, the payout will be par. Investors will be exposed to any index decline beyond 10%.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.

The notes will price on Feb. 28.

The Cusip number is 61768CZR1.
