New Issue: Barclays prices $1.05 million phoenix autocallables tied to Russell 2000
By Wendy Van Sickle
Columbus, Ohio, May 9 – Barclays Bank plc priced $1.05 million of phoenix autocallable notes due May 10, 2022 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will pay a contingent quarterly coupon at an annual rate of 10% if the index closes at or above its coupon barrier, 85% of its initial level, on the observation date for that quarter.
The notes will be called at par plus the contingent coupon if the index closes at or above its initial level on any observation date other than the final date beginning with the second observation date.
The payout at maturity will be par unless the index finishes below its 77% barrier level, in which case investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline.
