HSBC plans to price two-year buffered AMPS linked to Russell 2000

Morgantown, W.Va., March 27 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due March 29, 2019 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of the index return, subject to a maximum return of at least 21.5%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes are expected to price March 28.

The Cusip number is 40433UV29.
