Morgan Stanley plans buffered participation securities on index basket

Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 24 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered participation securities due Sept. 3, 2020 linked to a performance-allocation basket containing the Euro Stoxx 50 index, the Russell 2000 index and the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

The best-performing index will be given a 45% weight, the second best a 30% weight and the worst a 25% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any basket gain.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond the 10% buffer.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price Feb. 28.

The Cusip number is 61766V453.
