New Issue: HSBC prices $2.12 million of callable notes with contingent return linked to two indexes

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 27 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $2.12 million of callable notes with contingent return due May 4, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent semiannual coupon at an annual rate of 6% if each index closes at or above the 60% barrier level on the observation date that period.

The notes will be callable semiannually beginning March 30, 2017.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the final contingent payment unless either index finishes below its 60% barrier level, in which case investors will be fully exposed to any losses of the worse performing component.
