HSBC plans buffered uncapped market participation securities linked to index basket

Columbus, Ohio, May 5 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due May 31, 2019 linked to a basket containing the S&P 500 index with a 50% weight, the Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 30% weight and the Russell 2000 index with a 20% weight, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.15 times any basket gain. Investors will receive par if the basket declines by up to 10% and will have 1-to-1 expossure to any declines beyond 10%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes (Cusip: 40433UMP8) will price on May 25 and settle on May 31.
