Nomura plans contingent coupon trigger notes linked to Russell 2000

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 9 – Nomura America Finance, LLC plans to price contingent coupon trigger notes due Feb. 18, 2025 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay interest at an annualized rate of 8% to 8.2% if the index closes above the 70% trigger level on any quarterly interest determination date. If the index closes at or below the trigger level, no interest will be paid for that interest period.

If the index finishes at or above the 50% barrier level, the payout at maturity will be par. Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the index from its initial level.

The notes (Cusip: 65539ABP4) are expected to price Feb.11 and settle Feb. 18.

Nomura Securities International, Inc. is the agent.
