New Issue: Scotia prices $17.75 million autocallable Stars tied to Russell 2000

Buffalo, N.Y., Oct. 31 – Bank of Nova Scotia priced $17.75 million of autocallable Strategic Accelerated Redemption Securities due Oct. 27, 2028 linked to the performance of the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be called at par plus an annualized call premium of 10.05% if the closing level of the index is equal to or greater than its initial level on any yearly observation date.

If the notes are not called at maturity and the index finishes at or above its 85% buffer level, the payout will be par. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline of the index beyond 15%.
