New Issue: GS Finance sells $1.61 million autocallable contingent coupon notes on indexes

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Jan. 14 – GS Finance Corp. priced $1.61 million of autocallable contingent coupon index-linked notes due June 5, 2023 tied to the least performing of the Nasdaq-100 index, the Russell 2000 index and the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent monthly coupon at an annualized rate of 7.35% if each index closes at or above its 70% coupon barrier on the related observation date.

The notes will be called at par plus a contingent coupon if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly call observation date.

The payout at maturity will be par if all the indexes finish at or above the initial level or no index has ever closed below the 70% trigger buffer level during the life of the notes.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the losses of the worst-performing index.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
