New Issue: GS Finance sells $479,000 autocallable contingent coupon notes on Nasdaq, Russell

By Kiku Steinfeld

Chicago, March 8 – GS Finance Corp. priced $479,000 of autocallable contingent coupon notes due March 2, 2023 linked to the Nasdaq-100 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

Each quarter, the notes pay a contingent coupon at a rate of 6.5% per year if each index closes at or above 70% of its initial level on the observation date for that period.

The notes are callable at par plus the coupon on any coupon payment date after six months.

If the notes are not redeemed, the payout at maturity will be par plus the coupon unless any index finishes below 70% of its initial level, in which case investors will be exposed to the loss of the least performing index.
