HSBC to price buffered market participation securities on basket of indexes

New York, July 28 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered market participation securities due Aug. 5, 2022 linked to an unequally weighted basket of indexes, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket consists of the S&P 500 index with a 70% weight, the Russell 2000 index with a 15% weight and the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund with a 15% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain, up to a maximum payout of par plus 15%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on July 31.

The Cusip number is 40438CQZ7.
