HSBC plans 3%-3.25% fixed-rate buffered notes tied to S&P 500, Russell

Chicago, Nov. 11 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 3% to 3.25% fixed-rate buffered notes due Nov. 29, 2019 linked to the Russell 200 index and the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest is payable annually.

The payout at maturity will be par plus unless either index falls by more than 25%, in which case investors will be exposed to any losses of the worse performing index beyond the buffer.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Nov. 21 and settle on Nov. 25.

The Cusip number is 40433UYD2.
