Investor unhappy with Rural Metro's filings, meeting date

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 24 - Rural Metro Corp. investors led by Stadium Capital Management, LLC expressed their dissatisfaction with the company's delayed securities filings, what they called inadequate investor communication and what they described as the inappropriate delay of the 2007 annual meeting of stockholders until February 2008.

The investors concerns were included in a Sept. 19 letter as part of a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The reporting persons own 2,813,652 shares or 11.4% of the Scottsdale, Ariz., medical transportation company's outstanding stock.
