New Issue: Royal Bank of Canada prices $1.5 billion of three-year fixed-, floating-rate notes

Tupelo, Miss., April 24 – Royal Bank of Canada priced $1.5 billion of medium-term senior notes (A2/A/AA) in two tranches on Wednesday, according to FWP filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A $500 million tranche of three-year floating-rate notes priced at par to yield Libor plus 47 basis points.

Royal Bank of Canada sold $1 billion of 2.8% notes due April 29, 2022 at 99.957 to yield 2.815%, or a Treasuries plus 53 bps spread.

RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC were the bookrunners.
