RBC to price notes linked to global index basket

New York, April 12 - Royal Bank of Canada is planning to price an issue of principal-protected senior notes due April 29, 2011 linked to a global index basket, according to a SUPPL filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The underlying indexes include the Nikkei 225 with a 25% weight, Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50 with a 25% weight, FTSE 100 with a 20% weight, S&P 500 with a 15% weight and iShares MSCI Mexico index fund with a 15% weight.

The notes will be priced on April 26 and will settle on April 28.

Payout at maturity will par plus any again on the index basket on April 27, 2011, the final valuation date. Investors will receive at least par.

RBC Capital Markets Corp. will be the underwriter.
