S&P: Rosneft outlook positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Rosneft to positive from developing.

At the same time, the long-term corporate credit rating was affirmed at BB+, the agency said, noting that the outlook revision follows a review of Rosneft's recent acquisitions of upstream and downstream assets in Samara, Eastern Siberia and other Russian regions at the bankruptcy auctions of Russian oil company Yukos, which significantly strengthened Rosneft's business profile.

The rating on Rosneft is based on the company's stand-alone credit quality, which S&P said it assesses at BB, plus a one-notch uplift for extraordinary state support.
