Fitch applies BBB- to Romania bonds

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB- rating to Romania's €2 billion dual-tranche eurobond issuance, under the country's global medium-term note program.

The first tranche of €1.25 billion matures on Oct. 29, 2025, and has a coupon of 2.75%. The second tranche of €750 million matures on Oct. 29, 2035, and has a coupon of 3.875%.

The ratings are in line with Romania's long-term foreign currency issuer default rating of BBB-, which has a stable outlook.
