Fitch gives Rogers notes BBB-
Fitch Ratings said it gave a BBB- rating to Rogers Communications Inc.’s planned benchmark-sized subordinated notes due 2081 and placed the rating on rating watch negative.
The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of borrowings under its bank credit facilities, maturing U.S. commercial paper or other debts.
The agency also said it is maintaining the rating watch negative on Rogers and its debt, both rated BBB+, and plans to resolve the RWN once the acquisition of Shaw Communications closes.
