New Issue: Rockwell Diamonds raises C$14.46 million in placement of stock

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 9 - Rockwell Diamonds Inc. said it has completed a C$14.46 million private placement of shares. The deal priced for C$15 million on Nov. 28 and was to have settled on Nov. 30, at the same time as the listing of Rockwell's shares on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

The company sold 24,101,285 shares at C$0.60 per share. It planned to sell 25 million shares at that price.

The company paid a C$300,000 cash fee to Allan Hochreiter and issued 500,000 common shares as finder's fees for the private placement.

Proceeds will be used for Rockwell's diamond operations.

Rockwell is a diamond exploration company based in Vancouver, B.C.
