AtheroGenics unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Oct. 17 - AtheroGenics, Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Friday by the U.S. Trustee, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

The committee is comprised of Gary Bush of The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA, New York; Elliot Bossen of Investcorp Silverback Arbitage Master Fund Ltd., Chapel Hill, N.C.; and Luke Beltnick of TPG Credit, Minneapolis.

Atlanta-based AtheroGenics develops drugs for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases. The company agreed to have its involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy case converted to a Chapter 11 case on Oct. 7. The case number is 08-78200.
