Rhodes shows $41,000 August operating profit

Pittsburgh, Sept. 21 - Rhodes Inc. reported a $41,000 operating profit for August on revenues of $19.02 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

In July, the company posted a $3.44 million operating loss on revenues of $30.88 million.

The net loss for August was $24.94 million, up from a $7.67 million July net loss.

Cash on Aug. 31 was $4.68 million, compared to $2.04 million at the end of July.

Rhodes, an Atlanta-based furniture retailer, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 4, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-78434.
