New Issue: Malaysia’s RHB Bank sells RM 200 million 4.95% 10-year subordinated notes

Chicago, April 16 – RHB Capital Bhd. said wholly owned subsidiary RHB Investment Bank Bhd. closed the issue of RM 200 million 4.95% 10-year subordinated notes.

The subordinated notes will qualify as tier 2 capital of the bank under the capital adequacy framework issued by Bank Negara Malaysia in 2012, according to a company notice.

Proceeds will be used for working capital and general banking purposes.

RHB Capital is a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based financing firm.
