Reunion Industries operating loss slips to $292,000 in June; sales up

Pittsburgh, July 29 - Reunion Industries, Inc. reported a $292,000 operating loss for June on $1.05 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.

The figures compared to a $219,000 operating loss posted for May on $1.01 million in net sales.

The net loss for June was $263,000, widening from a $128,000 May net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents were $2.14 million at June 30, up from $1.75 million at the end of May.

Reunion, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of metal and plastic products, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 29, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-50727.
