Reunion posts $219,000 May operating loss on $1.01 million in sales

Pittsburgh, July 7 - Reunion Industries, Inc. reported a $219,000 operating loss for May on $1.01 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.

The figures showed a decline from the $118,000 operating loss posted in April on $1.46 million in net sales.

The net loss for May was $128,000, down from $471,000 of April net income.

Cash and cash equivalents were $1.75 million at May 31, compared with $2.92 million at the end of April.

Reunion, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of metal and plastic products, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 29, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-50727.
