Reunion Industries net loss improves to $251,000 in January

Pittsburgh, March 2 - Reunion Industries, Inc. reported a $251,000 operating loss for January on $1.29 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.

The figures improved from the $583,000 operating loss posted in December on $990,000 in net sales.

The net loss for January was $194,000, narrowing from a $1.23 million December net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents on Jan. 31 were $5.42 million, compared with $5.91 million at the end of December.

Reunion, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of metal and plastic products, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 29, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-50727.
