Reunion Industries posts $2 million June operating loss

Portland, Ore., July 29 - Reunion Industries, Inc. reported a $2 million June operating loss on net sales of $1.72 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.

The figures compare to a $121,000 operating loss for May, also on $1.72 million in net sales.

Net income for the June period was $36,000, compared with a net loss of $2.94 million in May.

Cash and cash equivalents at the end of June were $16.5 million, up from $16.4 million at May 31.

Reunion, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of metal and plastic products, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 29, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-50727.
