U.S. Trustee appoints nine-member ResCap unsecured creditors committee

Pittsburgh, May 17 - Residential Capital, LLC's official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by Region 2 U.S. Trustee Tracy Hope Davis, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The committee is comprised of Julie J. Becker of Wilmington Trust, NA of Minneapolis; Brendan Meyer of Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas of Jersey City, N.J.; Robert H. Major of The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA of New Albany, Ohio; Mitchell Sonkin of MBIA Insurance Corp. of Armonk, N.Y.; Rowena L. Drennen, representing second mortgage lending practices litigation plaintiffs; Russell Lipman of AIG Asset Management (U.S.), LLC of New York; Mamta K. Scott of U.S. Bank NA of Chicago; Peter A. McElvain of Allstate Life Insurance Co. of Northbrook, Ill.; and John Dubel of Financial Guaranty Insurance Co. of New York.

Residential Capital, a New York-based real estate finance company, filed for bankruptcy on May 14. The case number is 12-12020.
