ATA Holdings names Denison co-chief restructuring officer

By Ellen Chang

Houston, Jan. 24 - ATA Holdings Corp. named John G. Denison to the position of co-chief restructuring officer.

Denison will work with management to restructure the company's operations and help prepare the company's plan of reorganization, ATA said.

Denison retired from Southwest Airlines as executive vice president of corporate services in 2001 after 15 years with the low-cost carrier. Denison also held the position of chief financial officer. Prior to joining Southwest Airlines, Denison held various finance positions with The LTV Corp. and Chrysler Corp.

ATA Holdings Corp., ATA Airlines' parent, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 26 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-19866.
