ATA fills CFO, other executive vacancies

Washington, Jan. 14 - ATA Holdings Corp. named ATA chief restructuring officer Gilbert F. Viets as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

In his former assignment, Viets led the preparations for ATA's Chapter 11 filing and has coordinated the company's reorganization.

Viets' responsibilities will include ATA's restructuring, finance, accounting, treasury, internal audit, strategic planning and information services areas.

Succeeding him as chief restructuring officer will be Sean G. Frick. Frick will continue to serve as vice president of strategic planning as well.

Wisty B. Malone, named vice president and controller in 2003, will assume additional responsibility as ATA's treasurer

ATA, an Indianapolis-based airline holding company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 26. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-19866.
