ATA shows operating loss of $4.78 million for September

Washington, Nov. 1 - ATA Holdings Corp. reported a $4.78 million operating loss for September on revenues of $83.83 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

In August, the company posted a $1.66 million operating profit on revenues of $102.93 million.

The net loss for September was $140.28 million against a net loss for August of $53,000.

Cash and cash equivalents at Sept. 30 were $75.37 million, down from $81.71 million at the end of August.

Indianapolis-based ATA, the parent of ATA Airlines, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 26, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-19866.
