Fitch ups Republic Services

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded the issuer default rating of Republic Services, Inc. to BBB from BBB-, along with its senior unsecured credit facility rating to BBB from BBB- and senior unsecured rating to BBB from BBB-.

Allied Waste Industries, Inc.'s ratings also were upgraded to BBB from BBB-, along with Allied Waste North America's issuer default rating to BBB from BBB- and senior unsecured rating to BBB from BBB-. Browning-Ferris Industries' issuer default rating was upgraded to BBB from BBB- and senior unsecured rating to BBB from BBB-.

The outlook was revised to stable from positive.

The ratings reflect the waste services company's proven commitment to debt reduction, as well as improvements to the capital structure that was created by the 2008 merger with Allied Waste, Fitch said.
