Republic Airways amended plan accepted by majority of voting creditors

Pittsburgh, March 2 – Republic Airways Holdings Inc.’s second amended plan of reorganization was accepted by a majority of voting creditors, according to a notice filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, the plan was accepted by 208 holders, or 94.12% in number, of $1,015,652,319, or 93.8% in amount, of general unsecured claims, and rejected by 13 holders, or 5.88% in number, of $67.15 million, or 6.2% in amount, of those claims.

The plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for March 8.

Based in Indianapolis, Republic Airways is a passenger and air freight service company. It filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 25, 2016 under Chapter 11 case number 16-10429.
