Deal sells common shares with $10.8 million greenshoe

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 19 - Renewable Energy Group, Inc. said it priced a $68.57 million initial public offering of stock with a $10.8 million greenshoe. The company's shares began trading on the Nasdaq exchange Thursday under the symbol "REGI."
The company is selling 6,857,140 common shares at $10.00 per share. The price per share is identical to the Jan. 18 closing share price.
The deal is being conducted by joint bookrunners UBS Securities LLC and Piper Jaffray & Co. William Blair & Co., LLC, Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc. and Canaccord Genuity Inc. are co-managers.
Renewable Energy is a biodiesel producer in Ames, Iowa.
