RenaissanceRe lifts letter-of-credit agreement to $275 million

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 3 – RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. amended its letter-of-credit reimbursement agreement on Wednesday to increase the letter of credit to $275 million from $225 million, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Additionally, the term of the facility was extended until the date that is four years from the date of the notice from ING Bank NV, London Branch as agent to the beneficiary of the letters of credit, which is required to be done by Dec. 31, unless that date is extended by all lenders.

RenaissanceRe is a Pembroke, Bermuda-based property catastrophe reinsurer.
