Renaissance Custom Homes requests 45-day exclusivity extension

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., Jan. 26 - Renaissance Custom Homes, LLC requested an extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon.

The company wants to extend both the exclusive plan-filing period and solicitation period by 45 days.

Renaissance said it has begun working on the structure of a proposed plan of reorganization but needs to re-evaluate it due to changes in the economic circumstances, conditions and prospects in the homebuilding industry and its local markets.

The company has requested court approval to hire Obsidian Finance Group, LLC as its financial consultant.

Renaissance, a Lake Oswego, Ore.-based residential real estate and home building company, filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 25. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-35023.
