Fitch: Reliant Energy view stable

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Reliant Energy, Inc.'s B issuer default rating and revised the outlook to stable from positive.

Fitch said the outlook change reflects the recent unexpected volatility at the retail business.

The affirmation reflects strong operating performance metrics driven by a competitive generation business, the agency said, as well as volatility of cash flows from both the merchant segment and the retail segment.
