Relativity Media gets court approval to extend exclusivity periods

By Mark Reccek

Bethlehem, Pa., Nov. 13 – Relativity Media LLC received court approval to extend its exclusive periods for filing a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization and soliciting votes on the plan, according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The company’s exclusive filing period was extended through Feb. 1 from Nov. 27 and its solicitation period through April 1 from Jan. 26.

The company originally requested an extension of its exclusive filing period through March 26 and an extension of the solicitation period through May 25.

As previously reported, the company said the extensions are warranted to maintain flexibility and time for negotiations.

Relativity Media is a media company based in Beverly Hills, Calif., that filed for bankruptcy on July 30. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-11989.
