S&P: Regions Financial view negative

Standard &Poor's said it affirmed Regions Financial Corp.'s A long-term counterparty credit rating and revised the outlook to negative from stable.

The outlook revision is a result of a broader review of U.S. regional bank institutions.

According to S&P, the outlook revision reflects concern about Regions' asset quality trends in the face of ongoing deterioration in the residential home markets.
