Regeneration launches Sterling Xenograft and BioSet DBM products

By Lisa Kerner

Erie, Pa., March 22 - Regeneration Technologies, Inc. is officially launching its Sterling Xenograft line of implants as well as BioSet DBM at the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons meeting in Chicago this week.

"The official launch of these two new implant lines illustrates how Regeneration Technologies is once again leading the biologics evolution in health care," chairman, president and chief executive officer Brian K. Hutchison said in a company news release.

"RTI remains committed to enhancing the lives of patients by pioneering health solutions through regenerative medicine."

The new Sterling product line includes the interference screws and cancellous chips and cubes, as well as an expanded supply of safe, sterile tissue that is a natural alternative to autograft, allograft and synthetic materials.

BioSet DBM consists of demineralized bone matrix in a purified gelatin carrier. The BioSet IC version contains bone chips.

Located in Alachua, Fla., Regeneration processes allograft and xenograft tissue into shaped implants for use in orthopedic, cardiovascular and other surgeries.
