Refex Refrigerants plans meeting to discuss issuing up to Rs. 2 billion in convertibles

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 24 - Refex Refrigerants Ltd. informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it will hold an extraordinary general meeting on Jan. 9 to consider an issue of up to Rs. 2 billion in convertible bonds.

The company's board of directors approved the bonds at a meeting on Dec. 13.

Other securities being considered include Depositary Receipts and convertible securities linked to equity shares.

Based in Chennai, India, Refex Refrigerants refills non-ozone depleting refrigerant gases, known as hydrofluorocarbons, which are used in air conditioners, refrigerators and refrigerating equipments.
