Realty Income files automatic shelf

New York, April 12 - Realty Income Corp. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Covered by the shelf are debt securities, preferred stock and common stock. Debt securities and preferred stock may be structured as convertibles.

The company said proceeds will go towards general corporate purposes.

Based in Escondido, Calif., Realty Income is an equity real estate investment trust.
