Aston/River Road plans to launch Dividend All Cap Value Fund II
By Toni Weeks
San Diego, April 9 - Aston Funds announced in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it is planning a new fund, the Aston/River Road Dividend All Cap Value Fund II.
The fund will offer class N and class I shares. Ticker symbols have not yet been set.
The fund will seek to provide long-term capital appreciation and high current income by investing, under normal conditions, at least 80% of its assets in equity securities. The fund will invest in a diversified, all-cap portfolio of income-producing equity securities, typically of companies with a market capitalization of at least $1 billion at the time of purchase. Though the fund will invest primarily in dividend-paying common stocks, publicly traded partnerships and real estate investment trusts, it may also invest in foreign securities, directly and through depositary receipts, closed-end funds, convertible preferred stocks and royalty income trusts.
Although management fees have not yet been specified, the estimated total annual fund operating expenses are 1.31% for class N shares and 1.06% for class I shares.
The portfolio managers will be James C. Shircliff, Henry W. Sanders and Thomas S. Forsha.
Chicago-based Aston Asset Management, LP serves as the investment adviser to the fund. River Road Asset Management, LLC will be the subadviser.
