Best quarter for rising stars since 2001, Moody's says
New York, March 29 - This quarter is already the best for rising stars since the first quarter of 2001, according to Moody's Investors Service.
Since Jan. 1 there have been eight companies raised to investment grade from junk including three last week, the rating agency said.
Furthermore, after three fallen angels in just two weeks in February and two fallen angels in March, fallen angel downgrades have virtually stopped, Moody's added. If there are no more for the rest of the month the quarter will have the fewest downgrades to junk since the first quarter of 2000.
