AST Goldman Sachs Small-Cap Value Portfolio adds Butkus to team

San Diego, Feb. 17 - The AST Goldman Sachs Small-Cap Value Portfolio said that Sean A. Butkus has been named a portfolio manager of the portfolio, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He joins existing portfolio managers Sally Pope Davis, Robert Crystal and J. Kelly Flynn.

Butkus joined Newark, N.J.-based Prudential Investments LLC, one of the portfolio's investment managers, in 2004. Prior to that, he provided analytical support and strategic advice to the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs and was formerly employed at Arthur Andersen LLP.

The portfolio's co-investment manager is Shelton, Conn.-based AST Investment Services, Inc.
