RadioShack’s May loss down to $17.7 million on $27.3 million in sales

New York, June 30 – RadioShack Corp. reported an operating loss of $17.7 million for May 3 through May 30 on net sales of $27.3 million, according to its monthly operating report filed June 29 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In comparison, the company posted an operating loss of $32.5 million for the period of April 1 through May 2 on net sales of $54.7 million.

RadioShack’s net loss for May was $19 million, an improvement from $96.6 million in April.

The company also had cash and equivalents of $101.7 million at the end of May, almost doubling from $54.3 million as of May 2.

RadioShack is a Fort Worth, Texas-based technology retailer that filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 5. Its Chapter 11 case number is 15-10197.
