Assured Guaranty files $500 million shelf

New York, June 1 - Assured Guaranty Ltd. registered a $500 million shelf in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Wednesday.

Covered by the shelf are common shares, preferred shares, depositary shares, debt securities, warrants, stock purchase contracts, stock purchase units and trust preferreds. Securities can be issued as convertibles.

The Hamilton, Bermuda, provider of credit enhancement for the public finance, structured finance and mortgage markets will use proceeds for general corporate purposes unless specified otherwise at the time of sale.
