Moody’s gives Assured Guaranty notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it gave a Baa2 rating to guaranteed senior notes due 2031 to be issued by Assured Guaranty US Holdings Inc. The notes guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by Assured Guaranty Ltd. Moody’s rates both issuers Baa2.

The company expects to use proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include the repurchase or redemption of outstanding debt securities.

The outlook is stable.
